Colours Of The Sea Original Painting
Colours of the Sea
Coral reefs support a quarter of fish species in the sea.
Coral bleaching is caused when coral expels algae that hold colour and feed the coral. This is a reaction to stress which often happens when water temperature rises. Our oceans absorb the vast majority of heat caused by the human impact.
When coral is no longer stressed, algae can grow in it again. The ocean continues to try and thrive despite raising temperatures caused by human excess.
